9 holes regulation course
You've been meaning to play all summer.
"I want to play more this summer, I just don't know who to play with."
"I'm not good enough to join a league."
"Maybe next year when I'm a little better."
SOUND FAMILIAR?
Here's what I want you to hear: that version of next year never comes. And the truth is — you don't need to be better before you join. You get better by joining.
I started my first league when I was absolutely not ready. I was nervous, my scores were humbling, and I wasn't sure I belonged. But I showed up every week, and by the end of that first season I had a regular playing partner, a handicap I was proud of, and two-hour conversations on the course that turned into real friendships.
That's exactly what I've built here at Hickory Woods — and I want that for you this summer.
IMAGINE THIS
It's a Wednesday evening in June.
You pull into the parking lot at Hickory Woods, golf bag loaded in the cart, sun still warm at 5:30PM. You spot your playing partners and walk over — no one here is going to judge your drive, and everyone is happy you showed up.
Over the next two and a half hours, you'll laugh, you'll hit some great shots (and some not-so-great ones), you'll learn something new by watching someone else play, and you'll feel that unmistakable exhale that only comes from being outside with people who get it.
Your phone is in your pocket. Your golf partner is beside you. The only thing you have to focus on is the next shot in front of you.
Playing a fun local course you'll get to know hole by hole over 10 weeks
Building real friendships with women who share your love of the game
Watching your scores improve because consistency is the best teacher
Competing in weekly games with a little friendly skin in the game — and celebrating at the end-of-season party
Staying connected all season in a dedicated WhatsApp group so you always know what's going on
IS THIS LEAGUE FOR YOU?
This is the right fit if…
✓You're an “experienced beginner” to intermediate golfer who wants structured, regular time on the course
✓You have — or are willing to get — a USGA GHIN handicap (more on that below)
✓Wednesday evenings work for your schedule and you're ready to commit to a full season
✓You want to meet other women golfers in Cincinnati who take the game seriously but still know how to have fun
✓You're done waiting until you're "better" and you're ready to get better by playing
Not sure yet? Keep reading. I'm going to address every question you're sitting with right now.

LET'S TALK ABOUT THE COMPETITION
Yes, there are prizes. No, you don't need to be a scratch golfer.
Here's what I love most about the handicap system: It levels the playing field completely. A golfer with a 28 handicap can absolutely compete against someone playing to a 12 — that's the whole point. You're competing against your own potential, not someone else's.
The weekly games are fun and low-stakes. Think: least putts, closest to the pin, most pars. You'll put in a little money each week, and the winners take home the pot. It adds an extra layer of fun to every round without making anyone feel like it's the LPGA Tour out there.
The end-of-season prizes and overall standings reward consistency and improvement. You don't have to shoot the lowest scores — you just have to show up, keep your handicap current, and play your game.
The competition is friendly. The community is real. Both make you better.
You need a GHIN handicap. Here's how to get one.
Your handicap is what makes this league work — it's what puts a beginner and an experienced player on the same competitive footing. If you have questions about setting yours up, just reach out. I've got you.
