Role Description: Virtual Assistant - Contractor
Position Overview
This position’s primary focus is social media, editing and proofreading digital content, search engine optimization and webinar support. The role is a support role for the founder, to help stay organized and on task as new content is created (both paid and free) to support customers and potential customers.
Our ideal candidate has a keen eye for detail (can spot a typo a mile away) and knows how to communicate in an organized and efficient way. Discretion and confidentiality are essential for this position.
This role is primarily a virtual role, but there may be some in-person collaboration as well. The position is a part-time contractor that reports directly to the CEO/Founder, and may work with other team members.
This position involves working some evenings and weekends, and at times, responding to team members outside of traditional work hours.
The candidate can expect 5-10 hours of work per week at a pay rate of $25 per hour.
Duties and Responsibilities
Our Virtual Assistant will be responsible for ongoing support for our business and our team. You will:
Proofread and edit online content such as blog posts, emails and social media posts
Create digital content using various apps like Canva, Instagram, Capcut, Squarespace
Quality control of digital content - website, emails, blog, digital course - such as making sure links work
Perform Facebook group administrative tasks such as verifying/approving member requests, posting content, and monitoring comments
Provide support during live webinars such as chat monitoring
Manage social media accounts
Review email materials and blog posts prior to distribution for accuracy

Can handle tight deadlines
Outstanding communication skills / Ability to create strong relationships with team members, vendors, contractors, customers, and key people from other organizations

Technologically savvy
Can handle direct and blunt feedback and course-correct as necessary
Ability to juggle multiple projects simultaneously — gets things done, meets deadlines and keeps promises

Ability to present ideas and metrics clearly and concisely
Flexible
Coachable/no ego — happy doing high-level projects as well as mundane administrative tasks (there will be a mix of both!)
Ability to secure, manage and allocate resources at all times
Strong ability to solve problems (creative problem solving)
Able to support mutually agreed upon dates and times when work needs to happen outside of traditional hours (9-5) for example webinar chat monitoring support
Skilled in one or all of the following: Canva, Squarespace, Instagram, Pinterest
Ability to quickly learn new applications
